Elevation Therapy's Feeding & Swallowing Program provides assessment and intervention for individuals across the life span, from infants, children, to adults , who have feeding and swallowing difficulties. If you or your loved one exhibit any of the listed difficulties, we can help! Below is a list of the areas that we specialize in:

Signs, Symptoms, 
Characteristics: 

  • Coughing on foods or liquids, during or after mealtime

  • Gagging​

  • Food or liquid falling out of the front or sides of mouth

  • ​Food remaining on tongue following a swallow

  • Food "stuck" in the pockets of your cheek during or after mealtimes

  • Nasal congestion

  • Food feeling "stuck" in your throat

  • Difficulty latching to breast or bottle

  • Difficulty initiating a swallow

  • Swallowing partially chewed food

  • Difficulty managing secretions

  • Noisy or wet vocal quality during or after eating/drinking

  • Modifying a diet, such as: thickened liquids, cutting food into small pieces to manage
